BCBSNE has issued the following letter to agents and brokers regarding small group definition:
BCBSNE Changing Its Definition of Small Group; UI-11 Requirement |
Effective May 1, 2017, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) will change its definition of small employer group from 1-50 total employees, to 2-50 total employees for new groups, in alignment with the definition of small employer under the Nebraska Small Employer Health Insurance Act. For groups renewing on or after May 1, 2017, the new employee count for a small employer group must be met.
Effective June 1, 2017, renewing groups with 5 or fewer enrolled will be required to submit a quarterly wage report (UI-11) with the renewal survey. Our BluePride underwriting guidelines, small group quote tool, sold group checklist, and several other documents have been updated with these changes. You may view the updated documents by logging in to our BluePride broker web pages here. We appreciate your business. If you have questions, please contact a member of your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska sales or account service team. Sincerely, |
